The Department of Child Health Nursing, Moodlakatte College of Nursing, organized a special guest lecture on “Integrated Management of Neonatal and Childhood Illness (IMNCI) Programme” on 5th November 2025 for the 3rd -year B.Sc. Nursing students. The session aimed to explain the criteria and Principles of IMNCI and case management process of IMNCI protocols.The session was graced by the presence of Prof. Mrs. Janet Sequeira who served as the Resource Person. The event was also honored by Prof. Jennifer Freeda Menezes, Principal, and Mrs. Roopashree K. S., Vice Principal, Moodlakatte College of Nursing, Kundapura.The program commenced with the lighting of the lamp, signifying the beginning of the enlightening session. The event was hosted by Prof. Mr. Chandrashrkhara, HOD, Department of Child Health Nursing. Prof. Mrs. Janet Sequeira, delivered an insightful and informative lecture on the Integrated management of Neonatal and Childhood Illness.
IMNCI criteria, Principles and case process management explained in detail. Explained the role of nurse in treating the children under IMNCI protocols.As a token of appreciation, a memento was presented to the resource person by Prof. Jennifer Freeda Menezes, Principal of Moodlakatte College of Nursing.The program concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the management, faculty members, and students for their active participation and support in making the session a success.
