The Regional Conference on Forensic Nursing

The Regional Conference on Forensic Nursing was successfully organized by the Department of Community Health Nursing in collaboration with the Final Year B.Sc Nursing students of Moodlakatte College of Nursing, Kundapura. The programme was conducted on 17th February 2026 at 9:00 AM in the College Auditorium. The conference commenced with a formal inauguration ceremony. The event was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Renjulal Yesodharan, Assistant Professor (Senior Scale), Department of Psychiatry Nursing, Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE. The programme was presided over by Prof. Jennifer Freeda Menezes, Principal and Mrs.Roopashree K. S., Vice Principal Moodlakatte College of Nursing. Dr.S.N.Bhat director academics and Dr. Ramakrishna Hegde, Brand Building Director of IMJ institutions. Their esteemed presence added grace and significance to the occasion. The welcome address was delivered by TESCA,who welcomed the gathering and highlighted the growing importance of forensic nursing in contemporary healthcare practice. The inaugural session began with an invocation, followed by the lighting of the lamp. The welcome address set the tone for the academic deliberations. The Chief Guest, in his keynote speech, emphasized the critical role of nurses in medico-legal cases, evidence preservation, victim care, and legal responsibilities within clinical practice. His address provided valuable insights into the expanding scope of forensic nursing and its practical implicationsThe conference provided an excellent platform for knowledge sharing, professional development, and academic interaction. Participants benefited greatly from the expert inputs and discussions. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Nidhi expressing gratitude to the management, speakers, faculty members, and students for their support and participation. As a token of gratitude and appreciation, a gift was presented to the Chief Guest at the end of the programme.
