Moodlakatte College of Nursing celebrated the International Day of Yoga on 22nd June 2026 at 10:00 AM in association with Government Taluk AYUSH Hospital, Kundapura, in the College Auditorium. The programme was organized to promote the importance of yoga for maintaining physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the dignitaries. Dr. Shilpa K., Medical Officer, Government Taluk AYUSH Hospital, Kundapura, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, and Principal Jennifer Frieda Menezes, Vice Principal Mrs. Roopashree K S, along with the teaching and non-teaching staff and students, were also present.
Dr. Shilpa K. addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of yoga in leading a healthy lifestyle. She encouraged students and staff to practice yoga regularly to improve physical fitness, mental peace, and overall well-being.
A yoga demonstration session was conducted, during which students and staff actively participated in performing various yoga asanas and breathing exercises under proper guidance. The session created awareness about the benefits of incorporating yoga into daily life.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest, Principal, Vice Principal, management, staff, and students for their valuable presence and enthusiastic participation. The event was a great success and inspired everyone to adopt yoga as a part of their daily routine.
