The Lamp Lighting, Oath Taking, and First Graduation Ceremony at Moodlakatte College of Nursing was a significant and heartfelt event, marking the inaugural step for graduates and nursing students into their professional journey was held on 28th February 2025.
The ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Professor Tejaswini B.H. RGUHS, UG, BOS member& Principal, Ashraya College of Nursing, Chikmangalur. She emphasized on the importance of focusing on both long term and short term goals for the success, rather than getting distracted by rapidly evolving advanced technology. Guest of Honor Dr. H. Ashok, District Surgeon at District Hospital, Udupi, highlighted that nurses should be the everyday light for patients through their dedication and selfless care.
Principal Professor Jennifer Freeda Menezes, along with the chief guests, symbolically lit the lamp, signifying the core values of love, faithfulness, patience, service, and discipline inherent in nursing. Principal and Vice Principal Roopashree K S led the oath-taking ceremony, instilling a sense of responsibility and commitment among the graduates and novice students.
Dr. Ramakrishna Hegde , Director of Brand Building IMJ Institutions motivated the students with this thought provoking words & emphasized on importance of life long learning.
The gathering welcomed by Vice Principal Roopashree K.S delivering the welcome address. Miss Rakshitha extended gratitude through the vote of thanks, while Lecturer Miss Akshatha, along with students Miss Sharel Sara and Miss Serena Dias, efficiently managed the proceedings as Masters of Ceremony.
This landmark event not only celebrated the achievements of the graduates but also reinforced the profound values and responsibilities that define the nursing profession.
