Report on MLHP Session

The Department of Community Health Nursing, Moodlakatte College of Nursing, organized a special guest lecture on “Mid-Level Healthcare Provider (MLHP)” on 16th October 2025 for the 4th-year B.Sc. Nursing students. The session aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of nursing students in delivering primary and community-based healthcare services as mid-level health providers, ensuring quality, accessibility, and continuity of care.

The session was graced by the presence of Mr. Chandrashekhara, Professor and Head of the Department of Child Health Nursing, Moodlakatte College of Nursing, who served as the Resource Person. The event was also honored by Prof. Jennifer Freeda Menezes, Principal, and Mrs. Roopashree K. S., Vice Principal, Moodlakatte College of Nursing, Kundapura.

The program commenced with the lighting of the lamp, signifying the beginning of the enlightening session. The event was hosted by Ms. Akshatha, Lecturer, Department of Community Health Nursing.

Mr. Chandrashekhara delivered an insightful and informative lecture on the MLHP program, emphasizing its vital role in strengthening primary healthcare services and bridging the gap between the community and the healthcare system. His address highlighted the responsibilities, challenges, and opportunities for nursing professionals in the MLHP role.

As a token of appreciation, a memento was presented to the resource person by Prof. Jennifer Freeda Menezes, Principal of Moodlakatte College of Nursing.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the management, faculty members, and students for their active participation and support in making the session a success.
