The Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing, in collaboration with the 4th Semester B.Sc. Nursing students of Moodlakatte College of Nursing, organized a special program on the occasion of World Lung Day on 25th September 2025 at Adithya Cashew Industry, Moodlakatte, based on the theme “Healthy Lungs, Healthy Life.” The program commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing knowledge and awareness. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Keshav Manager, Adithya Cashew Industry Moodlakatte, Ms. Keerthana, Lecturer, Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing; Ms. Rakshitha, Assistant Lecturer, Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing ,Employees of Adithya Cashew Industry along with the enthusiastic participation of fourth-semester B.Sc. Nursing students. The awareness session began with an informative presentation on the structure and functions of the lungs, followed by detailed discussions on various lung-related diseases, presented by the students. To highlight the role of lifestyle modification in preventing lung disorders, the students staged an educational and engaging skit. The program was skillfully anchored by Ms. Sinchana, fourth-semester B.Sc. Nursing student. The employees of the cashew industry actively participated in the session and gained valuable insights into maintaining lung health and preventing both occupational and lifestyle-related lung conditions. The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks, followed by the distribution of refreshments to the industry workers.
