The Organ Donation Committee of Moodlakatte College of Nursing, Kundapura, organized an observation of World Organ Donation Day on 18 August 2026 at the college auditorium. The event was graced by the presence of Professor Jennifer Freeda Menezes, Principal, Mrs. Roopashree K.S, Vice Principal, along with all teaching faculties and students.
The programme was organized with the objective of creating awareness among students about the importance of organ donation and encouraging a positive attitude towards organ donation.
As a part of this, a short video competition on Organ Donation was conducted to provide students with an opportunity to creatively communicate the importance of organ donation and spread awareness. The participating students presented short videos focusing on organ donation, its significance, myths and facts, and the importance of becoming an organ donor. The event provided an effective platform for students to demonstrate their creativity while promoting a meaningful social cause.
The short video competition was judged by Mrs. Sookshma Adiga and Mr. Muralidhar B. K. from Moodlakatte Institute of Technology, Kundapura, and the best videos were awarded with the prizes.
The programme concluded with a Vote of thanks.
