On August 15, 2024, Moodlakatte College of Nursing celebrated India’s 78th Independence Day, where students, faculty, and staff members paid tribute to the nation and freedom fighters of India. It is a remarkable day when we honor and respect all our freedom fighters who fought for India’s freedom. The celebrations started with flag hoisting by The Chief Guest Lt. Col. M K Shetty and dignitaries, followed by the National Anthem. The chief guest of the event delivered an patriotic speech. In his speech Lt. Col. M K Shetty paid tribute to the freedom fighters who scarified their life for the Independence of our country. He also urged the students to be proud of their heritage and to contribute towards building a strong and prosperous India. The program continued with the chief guest felicitation, and cultural programs. Followed by talk on ‘Freedom From Addiction’ by Dr. Sunil Kumar G, Medical Officer, A V Baliga Memorial Hospital Udupi. The program concluded with a vote of thanks, and sweets were distributed to all the students and staff members.
