Training Program on Basic Cardiac Life Support

The Department of Adult Health Nursing at Moodlakatte College of Nursing organized a comprehensive training program on Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) on May 4, 2026. The event was formally inaugurated by the Principal, *Jennifer Freeda Menezes, alongside the Vice Principal, *Mrs. Roopashree K. S., who both emphasized the critical importance of life-saving skills in the nursing profession. The session was conducted under the expert supervision of *Dr. Asif Ashraf, an AHA Certified Instructor. The core training modules and practical demonstrations were led by Lead Trainers *Yaqoob and Jehangir, who provided hands-on guidance to the participants. The curriculum focused on the essential techniques of high- quality CPR, the management of cardiac emergencies, and the effective use of medical protocols as outlined in the BCLS guidelines. The program successfully provided students and staff with the practical knowledge required to respond to cardiac arrest and other life-threatening emergencies with confidence and precision.
